Incorporated in 1999, this 501c3 organization has led many projects over the years in the Park and around Kachemak Bay, including the Friendship Walk along Glacier Spit with local naturalists during the Homer Shorebird Festival; National Trails Day events, partnering with local water taxis to take volunteers across Kachemak Bay to assist State Parks trail crews with needed repairs; Kachemak Bay Coast Walk, where volunteers help collect marine debris on designated beaches within the Park; and National Public Lands Day, to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining public lands.
